Current Opportunities at AIChE Chem-E-Car  UIC
Lab worker/Researcher
You will be responsible for conducting experiments and research on two mechanisms. The first is a chemical battery to power the motor. The second is a time-sensitive chemical reaction that will make the model car halt at a specified time. More information will be provided in the future.
CAD Designer
We are looking for individuals with some familiarity with CAD software, specifically Solidworks, Fusion 360, or similar tools. The role involves working on the car's body and structures, as well as the autonomous injection mechanism. If you have limited experience in CAD but are eager to learn and take on these responsibilities, we encourage you to apply.
Coder
Currently seeking individuals who are proficient in programming with Arduino or C/C++ for our car's system. However, if you have no prior experience but are enthusiastic about learning, we welcome you to apply as well. The car uses Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
Data Analyzer
This role is ideal for individuals facing long commutes and those who cannot extend their school hours. Your main responsibility will involve efficiently arranging and making sense of the gathered data. The ultimate objective is to present our discoveries through a poster competition upon completion. All of this can be done in the comfort of your own home.
